A French cyclist broke the land speed record by reaching 163 MPH on a bike-rocket.
Francis Linda d'Alsace has recorded a top speed of 163 mph on his vehicle self-building on an old trail to Munchhouse in Northern Lorraine.
This record beat his previous mark of 150 mph, the value 2002 and just missed on powered bike speed record established in 1995 by the Slipstream of 3 mph bike.
Linda designed the bike itself so that the company Switzerland exotic Thermo Engineering (summer) and engineer Arnold Neracher designed the rocket that propelled it
Rocket summer used hydrogen peroxide and is called a "ecological monopropellant engine.
The works of rocket with a concentrated liquid hydrogen peroxide in a storage tank which contains a catalyst.
The fuel can be a liquid, as pure alcohol called ethanol that is sprayed into the catalyst Chamber.
The hot steam is then pushed through a fixed nozzle end of the rock and this provides the thrust needed to push the bike.
